MAIKO-USE
These "hanao" are created with 1st class velvet. Very beautiful and very soft It is a very graceful and beautiful string that will be suitable for almost all kinds of Japanese sandals. These unique strings are created here in Kyoto by a skilled craftsman who specializes in making hanao. The finish of the weaving of velvet is called "Hon-ten". It's also one of the traditional way to weave velvet in Japan. |
